About us
A haven for Sailing in Essex
Fairlop Waters Sailing Club, Fairlop Waters Country Park, Forest Road, IG6 3HN
Our club is a mix of seasoned sailors and those who are less experienced, We span the age groups: from those in their 20s right up to retirees, united by a love of sailing and a friendly spirit.

There's also free membership for Members' children, if they're under 16.
Since the club was established in 1978, we've built up a varied collection of boats and a depth of experience to make sailing both fun and safe.
The lake is owned by Redbridge Council and run by Vision. We pay Vision for an annual
sailing season ticket to use the lake and also pay a boat park fee. These payments are
separate from your Fairlop Waters Sailing club Membership.

Details of this are on the 'Membership' page.

Club membership means you have access to the club house, for tea and coffee and social
events, and the storage/changing room container, which also has a workbench and tools for
boat maintenance.

And don't worry if you're not a boat owner: we have them for your use..

We organise fun race days, social events including a summer BBQ and usually organise a trip
away to sail at Brightlingsea once a year.
Please use the contact form for more information on joining.
